Description

Citrulline Malate 2:1 is a synergistic blend of L-Citrulline and malic acid designed to support performance during high-intensity training. L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that plays a critical role in the urea cycle and nitric oxide (NO) production pathway. Research shows that oral supplementation with L-Citrulline increases plasma arginine levels more effectively than L-arginine itself [1], resulting in enhanced nitric oxide synthesis.

Nitric oxide promotes vasodilation, improving blood flow to working muscles during exercise. This mechanism has been associated with improved endurance, oxygen delivery, and nutrient transport [2]. Additionally, studies have reported that Citrulline Malate supplementation may reduce perceived exertion and delay fatigue in both aerobic and anaerobic performance contexts [3][4].

The 2:1 ratio represents two parts L-Citrulline to one part malic acid, which is an intermediate in the Krebs cycle. Malic acid may contribute to the compound’s ability to support energy metabolism, though more research is needed to substantiate this claim in isolation [5].
